the latest

sick
We have been very busy. Mandy spent Thursday and Friday in bed sick. She came down with some sort of Haitian 36-48 hour flu/bug. Not good. She's doing great now.

port-au-prince

We spent the entire day on Sunday in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti's capital. It is a densely populated city of nearly 2 million people. While in "Port,"one sees all kinds of suffering, many UN patrols and all kinds of other things. It was an interesting day.

weekly routine
it's looking like our weeks will shape us as follows:

Monday - Tuesday AM - help teach in Canaan Orphanage's elementary school and work on various projects around Canaan.
Monday - Tuesday PM - malnutrition/peanut butter medicine clinic.

Wednesday - All day malnutrition work in Pierre Payen. PP is a town about 10-15 minutes away from where we stay.

Thursday and Friday - Hoping to use these days as a chance to go out and scout for malnourished children. We're still trying to figure out the best way to make this happen.

Saturday/Sunday - Time at Canaan. Church at Canaan (i "preached" this past Sunday). Occasionally day of rest at a Haitian beach or travel to St. Marc for a meeting of regional missionaries/aid workers.

More pics to come....
